Trick Your Friends with Our Phone System Setup

READ THIS FIRST: The phone answering system is very simple to set up and use. It requires you to sign up for a free trial of a voicemail service with a company called RingCentral.

RingCentral allows you create a realistic-sounding office system that allows the caller to contact different departments, etc. It can be as simple or complex as you wish.

It is a free trial that you can cancel at any time.

Review (or print) these instructions while you go through the process. Refer to this page while you go through the process.

 

Step #1

CLICK HERE to open the RingCentral signup page.

If you’re on mobile, click on “For Small Business” and then go to “See Pricing”.

If you’re on a desktop, click on FREE TRIAL.

We recommend the Small Business Premium Plan.

Step #2

Click on the FREE TRIAL button of the Premium Plan.

Step #3

Choose local number. If you cannot find a number in your area code, use the Toll Free number option. This sometimes works better and is preferred by many of our users.

 

Next, choose a desirable number within your area code.

Step #4

When it asks how many users you want to add, choose 3.

Step #5

Next, enter your info.

 

For company name, create a fictional faculty/business. Do not use anything that exists in real life.

 

When completed, click “Next”.

Step #6

Next, enter your credit card information.

 

Don’t worry - you will not be charged unless you go past the trial.

 

Once complete, they will send you an email to activate your account.

 

Step #7

Next, create a password, PIN and Security Question and Answer.

Your account should now be active! The rest is fairly self explanatory. RingCentral has many simple training videos that do a very good job at explaining how to set it up. They are also constantly updating their system to make very to easy to use.
